Clearance · old stock, new in the box

New in the box. Just old.

Sealed cartons that have sat on our shelf a good deal longer than they should have. Nothing is wrong with any of it. The price is about the date on the box, not the condition of what is inside it.

$99 each. Tested before it leaves. 30 days, return to base. Sold as is. That is the whole offer, and there is nothing underneath it.

Counts are what was on the shelf on 8 September 2026. Everything here is one-off stock — ring before you pay and we will confirm it is still here.

Ring or email before you pay. There is no cart on this site. Tell us which one and how many, and we will confirm it is still here and send an invoice with freight to your actual address. On a $99 scanner the freight is worth knowing before you commit, not after.

Being straight about it

What you are actually buying.

01

Genuinely unused

Factory carton, factory packing. Look at the photographs of the two DS4801s — the blue protective film is still on both scanners. Nobody has had these out of the box except us, to test them.

02

Tested before it leaves

Plugged in, scanned with, and packed again before it goes anywhere. That is where the 30 days comes from — if it does not work when it arrives, send it back and we will refund it.

03

Old, and we are not hiding it

The date codes are printed on the cartons in the photographs. These were made in 2013 and 2014. They are discontinued models with no current manufacturer warranty, which is exactly why they are $99.

What "sold as is" means here. You get 30 days to find out it works, returned to us at your cost if it does not. After that there is no warranty on it, because there is no manufacturer warranty left for us to stand behind. If you want a scanner with a current warranty and support behind it, buy a current one instead — we will not pretend this is the same thing.

Beyond what is on the list

Not everything old here is new in a box.

The list above is unused stock, counted and dated. Three other things are worth asking about, and none of them is on a price list anywhere because all three depend on what is actually here when you ring.

01

Repairs, further back than most will go

We repair MC55 onwards and MC70 and MC75 onwards, as well as the MC9000 family. Not all of it is economic, and we will tell you which is which — but we will always quote, which is more than you get from somebody who stopped stocking the parts in 2015.

What we repair, and what it costs →

02

Second-hand units, cheaply

Sometimes the answer to a dead scanner is neither a repair nor a new one. We have used machines and we will sell them cheaply where they suit the job — particularly when you need one to match a fleet you are not ready to replace, and a current model would not match it anyway.

03

Or the parts off one

A donor. If what you are short of is a keypad, a battery door, a scan engine or a trigger, a second-hand unit is often the cheapest way to get it — and we would rather it went back into service than sat on a shelf here.

MC70 and MC75 part numbers →

Read us the model off the back and we will tell you what is actually available. If it is a Windows Mobile handheld, what replaces it is set out here. If it is a Symbol or Motorola scanner, the manuals and programming barcodes are here. And if the honest answer is that you should keep what you have for another two years, that is an answer we give often.

Tell us which one.

Part number and how many. We will confirm it is still on the shelf and send an invoice with the freight on it.
